Hi, sports fans! Thanks to some guy who stopped by my workplace selling Community Appreciation Packages, I was able to score some $24 Braves tickets for 10 bucks. Hurray for great deals!
You couldn't ask for a better evening for a ball game. Blue sky, 82 degrees, low humidity, and a nice breeze. (Could autumn be on its way? I don't want to get my hopes up, but maybe.)
My sweetie caught a Braves shirt from the T-shirt gun.
Happy fans enjoying a fun-filled evening at Turner Field.
I always enjoy the between-innings Tool Race, and I always root for Two-Bit the drill. Um, Two-Bit never wins. Never, ever. But in this photo you can see there was a brief shining moment when all the other tools fell down, and I thought this would be his night! Or not. Right after I took this, Two-Bit got cocky and was overtaken by a paintbrush. Boo. Maybe next time. Surely. Never give up, Two-Bit!
The Braves were ahead, then they were tied, then they were behind 3-4. But in the ninth inning, with the count 3-2-2 and the bases loaded, Freddie Freeman stepped up to bat. This rookie would not be intimidated by reigning World Series champ Brian Wilson. He hit a two-run single and led the Braves to victory! Truly a thrilling finish!
